Kill Fleas on Dogs
Adult fleas are permanent ectoparasites. They have developed a persistent relationship with their hosts and will rarely leave of their own volition.
Topically applied spot-on flea drops for dogs typically contain both an adulticide and an insect growth regulator (IGR). The adulticide (fipronil, imidacloprid, permethrin or dinotefuran) will kill adult fleas on the dog. The IGR (pyriproxyfen or methoprene) will prevent female fleas from laying viable eggs.
