Most insecticides used on fleas have a broad-spectrum of activity, working against a large variety of insects. While I am not certain, I’d assume these products would affect all flea species.
Most fleas found on dogs and cats are Ctenocephalides felis (cat fleas). The second most common species on domestic animals is Ctenocephalides canis (dog fleas). Flea products are tested for efficacy against these two species.
Are you worried about a specific species of flea, other than these two?
