I have clean bed, but due to mu surround conditions, there is always chance that one flea can get stuck on my cloth, and get in bed with me, and ended biting me whole night. Any ideas how to get rid of that? I can kill it manually, but its tricky job, and takes lot of time, one time I was even thought about flea powder, but its bad idea for bed usage, only thing that partially can help is handkerchief soaked with alcohol

Srksi,

Ensure the bedding isn’t hanging down to the ground. Fleas can only jump to the height of a human ankle. Tucking in the bedding will help prevent fleas from jumping onto sheets and crawling into bed with you.

Like you mention, there’s still a chance fleas will hitchhike onto you and end up in your bed. Before hopping into bed, you may want to get into the habit of shaking off your pants, and brushing off your legs and feet.

Traditional insect repellents will repel fleas and help prevent their bites. Look for the active ingredients are DEET, picaridin, or IR3535. Permethrin insect repellent for clothes can also help keep fleas off your pajamas. That said, it may be unpleasant sleeping with these insect repellents applied.

You mentioned your bed is clean. Just to be comprehensive and to inform others who may visit this question, ensure you aren’t letting infested pets into your bed. Flea eggs will drop from the animals and then develop on the bedding.

Killing a flea already in your bed is probably best done manually. I can’t think of an easier solution. Laundering the bedding will kill any fleas, but this isn’t a great option when you are already in bed trying to sleep.

Obviously, the best way to prevent fleas from getting into your bed is to get rid of the fleas in your home and on your pet.

I hope this helps.

Warm regards,
Adam
