While fleas can die if temperatures get too hot, this isn’t a very effective strategy in homes.
Immature fleas account for 95-99% of infestations and live in the environment. They live in protected micro-habitats with their own micro-climates that are generally protected from external conditions.
Additionally, adult fleas permanently live on their host animal. So changing the environmental conditions won’t affect these fleas.
